Throughout the the class Learning Theories and Models of Instruction Matthew created and implemented a lesson plan. Because classes come into his lab-based classroom on an inconsistent basis, he coordinated with the three first grade teachers to bring their classes into the lab. The lessons were an hour long, with each class having the same time and lesson. The classes came to do the lesson on November 14th, 2019. The lesson consisted of two parts. The first was an explanation of sound and the basic concept that the vibration of matter is the source of sound. He also included the phrase “or an object” to simplify the prior knowledge component of the term matter. The second half of the lesson was hands-on with the students building an invention that could make sound.
